The primary source catalogue behind the scientific layer. Approved production sources include public or appropriately licensed feeds such as NOAA SWPC, GFZ, USGS, NASA DONKI and local-compute astronomical resources, while restricted sources are explicitly excluded.
Operational sources and their roles
GFZ is the reference authority for Kp and ap. NOAA SWPC supplies IMF Bt and Bz, solar wind, GOES X-ray and proton products, and the OVATION aurora model. NASA DONKI supplies structured space-weather events, while USGS supplies earthquake events and ShakeMap products. Lunar astronomy is computed locally with documented algorithms and ephemeris inputs.
Source priority and fallback
Metrics with more than one provider have an explicit source order. For example Kp prefers GFZ, while NOAA may act as a fallback only when the record satisfies quality, unit and freshness requirements. A fallback cannot turn a missing or invalid value into zero and cannot erase the identity of the source that actually supplied the value.
Schumann, reuse rights and reference sources
Current Schumann Near Live is an external, source-traceable relative-activity product. It does not automatically provide a complete calibrated set of physical F1-F4, amplitude and Q values. The separate GeoLira Schumann Activity Index remains dependent on certified first-party evidence and fails closed without it. A public webpage is not automatically a licensed production feed, so restricted sources remain references rather than silent scraping dependencies.
