How It Works

GeoLira combines registered sources, canonical storage, freshness checks, derived engines, a browser application and optional private or community features. Every layer has its own ownership, privacy and evidence rules.

Foundation

GeoLira combines registered sources, canonical storage, freshness checks, derived engines, a browser application and optional private or community features. Every layer has its own ownership, privacy and evidence rules.

The data pipeline has six main stages

Data move through sources, ingest, canonical storage, quality, derived analysis and delivery. A source first needs a known identity and contract. An adapter maps upstream payload into a canonical record, then quality checks range, state and freshness. Only after those gates can the record feed derived calculations and the user interface.

Product layers do not share one definition of truth

Science contains measurements, models and derived analysis. Community contains anonymous self-reports and aggregates. Personal contains owner-scoped private observations. Symbolic and Spirituality contain sourced interpretations and practices. Combining these spaces in one product does not permit evidence classes to be exchanged without an explicit contract.

Fail-closed behavior is part of the product, not a UX defect

If a source is unavailable, a record exceeds hard stale, a station is invalid or the required sample is missing, a feature may return PARTIAL or UNAVAILABLE. GeoLira should not fill the gap with zero, a nominal value or an old record without warning. The same rule applies to alerts and authored indices that require fresh components.
