The calendar organizes astronomical events in time

The calendar helps locate upcoming lunar phases and related events. A complete phase cycle, the synodic month, is about 29.53 days, so phases do not repeat on a fixed civil-calendar day. Events should retain their precise calculated instant and only then be formatted for the user's timezone.

Phase is different from distance and altitude

A full moon can occur nearer to or farther from perigee, and the same illuminated fraction does not say whether the Moon is above a user's horizon. A phase calendar answers a geometry-of-illumination question; local rise, set and altitude require separate calculation for place and time.

An astronomical calendar is not a calendar of human effects

Lunar phases are predictable results of orbital mechanics. GeoLira does not present phase dates as guarantees of changes in health, mood or personal events. Symbolic lunar practices may appear in the separate consciousness space with explicit separation from astronomical data.
